WAIT! DON’T FORGET YOUR SCENE IS CHANGING:

An added challenge to correcting and adjusting time-lapse images is that sometimes our scene drastically changes over the life of the sequence, sometimes very dramatically, as in a sunrise. What might look like a good change for the first few exposures, might break the images at the end of the sequence.

There are two ways to avoid problems:

Do a Test. Apply changes to one image then synchronize (letting the software automatically apply those exact same changes to other frames) across few other shots throughout the sequence covering both lighter and darker images that changed over time (typically the first few and the last few shots). If your changes still look good at all extremes then chances are it’s OK to apply them across all images.

Use a specialized application like LRTimelapse, apply changes gradually across the entire sequence or using keyframes apply different gradual changes to different parts of the time-lapse, for example increasing exposure substantially until the sun rises, then decreasing the exposure as the scene gets brighter and so on.
